This year, your child’s school is participating in a project that aims to investigate how we can help new comer youth to feel better. This project is called ‘RefugeesWellSchool’. The project is a collaboration between different universities in 6 different countries. Together, we want to understand how activities at school, such as theatre, group and class discussions, can help adolescents to feel better, to perform better at school and to have better relationships with their peers. Based on what we learn, we hope to be able to inform teachers and schools on how they can support adolescents from different backgrounds in school. We think it is very important that parents get to know our project and participate in our research. We believe that we can learn a lot from your experiences. During the school year we will, with your permission, ask you and your child some questions. Your child will also participate in the activities that we’re planning together with the school (e.g. theatre, class discussions). If you have any questions about the project, you can contact the school or the team responsible for the RefugeesWellSchool project in your son’s or daughter’s school
